According to Anthony Brandt, Language fulfills so many needs for us: We can be mundane or lofty, can speak factually or philosophically, make specific observations or generalizations. We can describe our interior thoughts as well as the outside world. We can speak of events long gone or yet to be.

Music is often called the “universal language.” But if music is a language, what can it express? Studies have shown that listening to good music can be uplifting. Subsequently, as one becomes uplifted, and feels confident, that individual will want to smile; and the smile will enrich the one that receives it. Therefore, knowing the importance of both, music and smile, I decided to “begin with the end in mind” (Stephen R. Covey) by naming my show: “Le Sourire & La Musique”.

L'Heure de la Femme is a two-hour show dedicated soley to women who have impacted our lives through music. In the Haitian community we have gotten comfortable with the lack of female presence in our midst, thus it was important to have a show devoted to displaying the abundance of talent from women of all ages, all backgrounds and all musical gendres. In just one show you will discover a world that is familiar yet new, amazing yet different and radical yet calming.

L'Heure de la Femme opens a window to the diverse contributions of women like Martha Jean Claude, Toto Bissanthe and Fedia Laguerre while embracing the achievements of singers like Celia Cruz, Emeline Michel, Celine Dion, Yanick Etienne and Misty Jean. Breaking boundaries and introducing you to the female voices of yesterday, today and tomorrow is what L'Heure de la Femme is all about. Listen every Monday from 12pm - 2pm to indulge your senses, rewind your memories and ignite your desires during a 2 hour ride of discovery.

Blurbs About me:

Age: Immortal Sign: Taurus Origin: Beirut, Lebenon (Lebenese/Armenian/Romanian/Greek) DJ Eddy K's story is one that is decades in the making. He started as a resident DJ in Boston Club Called Cache which he had a great Sunday Night following called "DJ Eddy K's - Sunday Night Dance Party" . Then from there he venued to Club M-80, where in the 80's scene back in the days when M-80 ruled the international club set. DJ Eddy K. was on the turntables catering to the Euro/college crowd and realized he had a thing for mixing beats and all types of music for the masses. "You can't just play one type of music anymore. If you want to stay in this industry for the long run you need to manipulate the crowd and try and make everyone happy". His favorite style involves anything from house to hip-hop and mixing it with international sound beats.

His recent venues were every Thursday and Saturday nights behind the tables of Embassy down Lansdown street. Thursday nights were a Latin-loving ensemble of loyal clientele, many of whom tend to return on Saturday Nights for "World Peace Nights"! And also Friday nights at Caprice, were he spun the international tunes. DJ Eddy K. has been successful creating this opulent playground where that familiar atmosphere of good ol' days of M80 club has recently returned. The Philosophy DJ Eddy K has for his DJ career is simple: "I love to make people from different countries happy and to keep them dancing!" But after 911 everything changed for him - and the crowd at Embassy and Caprice have all changed! Just keep an ear out to listen when his next venue will be soon! If anyone is interested in contacting DJ Eddy K. for him to spin at your club - you may reach him at: Cell: 617-593-2029 or email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. "Just all about the listeners of the music man and that feeling you get when you have just rocked an entire room", says DJ Raffi S

Raf, as he is sometimes known, has been laying down hot electronic music for over two decades now. He has spent many years on the Boston nightclub circuit playing at the largest clubs and private parties. Along with house music producer Kelly Brice, Raf has created insane dance tracks like; Delicious and Cant Get You Out of my Mind. Check out his downloadable music for the brand new track from Raf called Forces of the Night. He teams up with new producer, Rob S. on the sinister beat. Definitely going to be a burner for some time to come. Some of our digital friends provided a contest for a DJ Dan Remix. That will be available soon.

Breath walks, think and talk with our communities, our planet. We all know that we are the result of our past which we can not alter. Let us be the active decision makers of our present time, the dynamic peace makers of today and tomorrow, and the skilful architects of our future. Our daily homework is to make the Wright decisions now to consequently build and maintain healthy communities around our planet.

Let this radio show, "l'eclipse" be the very ground and the opportunity to take us there.
